But the Palmetto Bugs scare the crap out of me. When I drove through the area, the mess they left on the the car was horrific. No one else in the car wanted anything to do with clearing them off the windshield. I jokingly referred to them as Citizens of South Carolina (the bugs, not the guys in the car).
